The South Jersey Young Guns program started off the 09 season in grand fashion.  The 11's, 12's and both 13's went a combined 15-2 for the weekend.

The 11u Young Guns went 5-0 for the weekend.  Mike Vastoria was the MVP of the tournament.  The 11's took the Ripken trophy home in convincing fashion with a 3-0 win of the West Chester Wildcats.

The 12u Navy went 2-1 for the weekend.  The tournament winners; Taconic Raptors lone loss was to the Young Guns.  The Saturday battle was a classic come from behind victory with Alex Gambino hit a 2 run home run late in the game that proved to be the difference.

The 1st game was equally as exciting as John "Moose" Minicozzi hit a walk off home run to win the game.

13u Navy jumped out of the gates going 3-1 at the annual March Mayhem tournament in Allentown, Pa.  Their only loss; 7 to 5 was to in the semi finals to the tournament champions Wyoming Valley Bombers.

13u Carolina went 5-0 this weekend to win the tournament at Ripken.  The semi final was a cliffhanger of a game as the Young Guns came from behind in late innings to seal the victory over the very talented Doghouse Demolition.  The tournament MVP Eric Shugars led the way in the championship game with 3 hits and 4 stolen bases over the Teaneck Titans 7 to 5.
